About This Christmas Song Charades Printable

This game focuses on acting out song titles rather than singing or recalling lyrics.

Each card contains one traditional Christmas or seasonal song title, giving the actor a clear prompt while leaving plenty of room for creative gestures.

The three card pages are labeled Familiar Favorites, Classic Carols, and Challenge Round. Keep the groups separate for a gradual increase in difficulty, or mix every card together for a less predictable game.

Pages Included

The opening page contains four setup steps, suggested house rules, and a simple two-team scoreboard. It works as a quick reference for the host and can remain visible while the game is being played.

Familiar Favorites includes recognizable titles such as Jingle Bells, Silent Night, and Joy to the World. Classic Carols adds titles such as Good King Wenceslas, I Saw Three Ships, and The Holly and the Ivy.

Challenge Round includes less obvious prompts such as Patapan, Star of the East, and Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming. The final page contains the personal-use notice, printing guidance, safety note, and source information.

How to Prepare and Play

Print the card pages on regular paper or cardstock, then cut along the dashed lines. Shuffle the cards and place them face down.

Divide players into two teams, choose a timer, and let the first actor draw a card without showing it.

The actor silently performs the title while teammates guess. The printable suggests 60 seconds per turn and does not allow talking, mouthing, humming, singing, spelling, or sound effects. Award one point for a correct answer, then alternate teams and actors.

Ways to Adjust the Game

For younger players, use only Familiar Favorites or allow a teammate to offer one clue. For a fast round, set a 30-second timer.

For individual play, rotate actors and give one point to the first person who guesses correctly.

You can also sort the cards into separate bowls by difficulty. Start with familiar titles, move into classic carols, and save the challenge cards for a final round worth two points each.

Printing Tips

Print at 100% or Actual Size on US Letter paper. Cardstock makes the cards easier to shuffle and reuse, while regular paper works well for one event. Cut with scissors or a paper trimmer and store the finished cards in an envelope or small box.

Song Title Note

The cards use song titles only as short game prompts. They do not include lyrics, sheet music, recordings, or performer branding. If you customize the set, avoid adding protected lyrics, recordings, or commercial artwork.
