What Is 16×16 Sudoku?

A 16×16 Sudoku expands the familiar game from 81 cells to 256. Instead of using only the numbers 1 through 9, this version uses 16 distinct symbols: 1 through 9 and A through G.

Your goal is to fill every empty cell so each horizontal row contains every symbol exactly once. The same rule applies to each vertical column and each outlined 4×4 region. You do not need arithmetic.

The letters and numbers act only as distinct symbols, so the puzzle is solved through observation, elimination, and logic.

Because the grid is larger, it helps to scan systematically. Pick one symbol and check where it can appear in each row, column, or region.

Then repeat with another symbol. Candidate marks can make patterns easier to see when several cells remain possible.

What’s Included

The first six pages contain one puzzle per page. Puzzles 01 and 02 are labeled easy, Puzzles 03 and 04 are medium, and Puzzles 05 and 06 are hard.

Difficulty is relative, but the progression gives newer 16×16 solvers a sensible place to begin and experienced players more open grids to tackle.

Pages 7 through 9 provide two completed answer grids per page. Original clues appear bold while added solution symbols appear in softer gray, making it easier to compare your work with the finished grid.
