Choosing What to Put in the Jar

Count the contents before the activity begins and record the total somewhere private. Keep the lid closed during the contest so the amount cannot change.

How to Set Up the Printable
Print the shared sheet, the display sign, or both. Fill in the “What’s in the jar?” line and add the prize information to the sign.
Place the display sign upright behind the container. Put the shared sheet on a clipboard with a pen, or cut apart the individual cards and place them beside a box for completed entries.
At the deadline, compare each estimate with the actual total. Unless you announce a different rule, the closest numerical guess wins whether it is above or below the correct amount.
