Ways to Use These Printable Halloween Silhouettes
For a quick window display, print the pages on regular white paper and tape them inside the glass with the printed side facing outward.
The strong contrast reads well during the day. At night, use only cool, flameless battery lights placed safely away from the paper to create a backlit effect.
For sturdier decorations, print directly on white cardstock. Cut around the outside edge, punch small holes, and string several shapes into a garland.
You can also mount the trimmed designs on orange, purple, kraft, or patterned paper to make signs, banners, scrapbook pages, invitations, and framed seasonal art.
The silhouettes also work as tracing templates. Place a printed page over black cardstock, removable vinyl, felt, or thin craft foam, then trace the outside edge.

How to Print and Resize the Designs
Open the PDF in a reliable PDF reader and select the page or pages you want. Choose US Letter paper and print at Actual Size or 100% for the full-page version.
Use the printer’s grayscale or black-and-white setting, and select the best quality that suits your paper without oversaturating thin sheets.
To make smaller shapes for cards, garlands, or treat-table signs, choose a custom scale such as 75%, 50%, or 35%. Many print dialogs also offer a Multiple option that places several reduced pages on one sheet.
Check the preview before printing to confirm that every silhouette fits within the printable area.
Cutting and Display Safety
Children can help choose, color, arrange, and tape the decorations, but an adult should handle craft knives and other sharp tools.
Supervise scissor use, cut on a protected surface, and keep fingers outside the cutting path. For interior openings, pierce the paper only on a cutting mat and work slowly.
Paper and cardstock are combustible. Keep the finished silhouettes away from candles, open flames, fireplaces, heaters, hot bulbs, and other heat sources.
Use flameless battery-operated lights for illuminated displays, and do not attach paper decorations where they could obstruct a lamp, vent, doorway, or clear walking path.
